New Piece for November 2025 Solo Exhibition
English]

New painting for my solo exhibition from November 26 to December 1:
It’s a familiar scene from a shabu-shabu dinner — when one realizes the piece of meat they just lost might have found another destination. 🥢
* Shabu-shabu is a Japanese hot pot dish, where you swish thinly sliced meat back and forth in a pot of broth until the meat has a perfect color. The name “shabu-shabu” comes from the onomatopoeic sound of this swishing motion.
The composition is similar to the sushi piece, “Please. No, it's okay. Please go ahead.” (about the last piece of 🍣 on the dish) — but this one captures a rather different funny moment. 😁
Don’t miss the slightly puffy and textured ingredients on the side of the canvas, too!
