11/22〜の個展に向けた新作8枚目は、2枚1組の作品です。
お話は右の絵から始まります。サンタさんにお手紙を書いている白い犬。でも、サンタさんのために用意したクッキーを前に、思わず手が伸びてしまったようです。念のために味見してるのかな？
そしてお話は2枚目に移ります。
しーっ…🤫ぐっすり眠っているようです😴 おやおや？彼はサンタさんにあげるはずだったクッキー🍪だけでなく、ミルク🥛まで楽しんでしまったようです。でも、靴下の用意は万全の様子。プレゼント、何個もらえるかな？🎁

2023年 油絵の具、キャンバス、（額装済み） 252 x 184 mm ＆ 360 x 268 mm
この白い犬はまだサンタさんを信じている小さい子供という設定で描いています。pleaseをplsと略してみたり、don’tのアポストロフィーが抜けていたり、ちゃっかり靴下を4つ（ウサギのぬいぐるみに履かせている分まで含めれば）も用意しているところで表現しています。
1枚目でしたためているお手紙は「サンタさんへ このクッキーを楽しんでくださいね」、2枚目の絵はクッキーを（ミルクも）たいらげてしまったので、cookies（複数形）のsを消してcookie（単数形）に直しているところが律儀なのか、気ままなのか、という感じです ☺️
The eighth new work for my solo exhibition starting on November 22 is a pair of paintings.
The story begins with the painting on the right.
The White Dog is writing a letter to Santa. But sitting in front of the cookies he prepared for Santa, it seems his hand couldn’t help reaching out. Maybe he’s just doing a little taste test—just to be safe?
Then the story moves on to the second painting.
Shh… 🤫 He looks fast asleep 😴 Oh dear—has he eaten not only the cookies meant for Santa 🍪 but also the milk 🥛? Still, the stockings are perfectly prepared. How many presents will he get, I wonder? 🎁

This White Dog is depicted as a young child who still believes in Santa.
That idea is expressed through small details: writing please as pls, forgetting the apostrophe in don’t, and cheekily preparing two pairs of stockings—four in total 🧦, including the pair put on the stuffed rabbit.
In the first painting, the letter says: “Dear Santa, please enjoy this cookie.”
In the second painting, after he has eaten the cookie (and the milk as well), he is correcting the letter—carefully erasing the s from cookies to make it cookie. Is he being conscientious, or simply following his own whims? ☺️
