My solo exhibition in November 2026 is now open!
The four pieces in the “Spilled…” series are displayed near the entrance. The sides of each canvas are painted to match the color of the mug in the painting, and each one has its own little trace of a spill there, too.
I experimented with the transparency of the coffee, the thick and creamy look of the corn soup, the feel of the latte, and the soft, gentle look of the milk — aiming to make each instantly recognizable without letting it steal the spotlight from The White Dog’s expression. I’m really happy with how they turned out!
The blue mug was originally planned as honey milk, but I eventually changed it to a caramel latte to achieve a better overall color balance.
My solo exhibition runs through Monday, November 9. I hope to see you there!
